The glowing eyes stole the whole night

My son wore this and the glowing eyes turned him from a kid in a robe into a genuinely eerie little figure the moment the lights dropped. At the party the other kids gathered around him in a mix of awe and mild fear, and he walked taller all evening because of it. scary enough without being too much

i worried the reaper theme would either terrify my son or arrive looking like a cheap sack, and it landed perfectly in between. it is genuinely spooky in dim light, spooky enough to earn respect from his older cousins, but not so disturbing that he refused to wear it. the glowing eyes do most of the work, casting just enough eerie effect from under the hood. he loves emerging slowly from dark corners for the full reveal. finding the sweet spot between too cute and too frightening is hard with kids horror costumes. this nailed it.
