I am now an office legend

Our company party had a costume theme and I decided to abandon all professional dignity. Walking into the conference room as a full dinosaur, wig and all, produced the hardest I have ever seen our finance department laugh. The director requested a photo for the internal newsletter. honestly i expected the wig to be a throwaway extra and it turned out to be my favorite part. it adds this ridiculous flamboyant crest that takes the costume from generic dino suit to full committed character. people at the party kept touching it and asking if i had bought it separately from a specialty shop. without it the outfit is fun, with it the outfit is unforgettable. i have since worn the wig alone to a friend's birthday dinner because it deserved a second outing. small included details doing enormous comedic work.

Most costumes fail at the ankles. You look magnificent from the knees up and then there are your ordinary sneakers, breaking the spell entirely. The included shoe covers fix exactly this. They slipped over my regular shoes easily, stayed in place through an evening of walking and dancing, and made the transformation genuinely complete from head to floor. In every photo from the night there is no seam where dinosaur ends and human begins. It is the detail nobody thinks about until they see the difference. My great fear with a full jumpsuit was spending the party as a slowly boiling dinosaur, but this stayed surprisingly comfortable through hours on a crowded dance floor. The material lets you move and breathe rather than sealing you into a personal sauna, and I made it to the end of the night still fully costumed while friends in heavier outfits had stripped down to sad half-costumes by midnight. Full range of motion for every ridiculous dance move too. A party costume you can actually party in is rarer than it should be.
